Lucas At Large: Michigan State 63, Wisconsin 60

Mike Lucas offers his thoughts on the final game of the season for the Wisconsin Badgers, falling in the Big Ten Tournament to Michigan State, 63-60.

"Missed FTs (2 front ends) final 3 minutes costly. No margin of error reality vs superior opponent. Had to be efficient if not perfect in all facets. MSU used old script dominating glass. Still couldn't put away undermanned Badgers who matched intensity & competed on equal footing"

"Resilience has not been an issue with this group even though there was no avoiding the growing pains. Many players, young and old alike, got better and played with more confidence late in season. Can't always accelerate the process. Losing Trice and King added to that challenge"

"Late clock situations have been exacerbated w/o true pt guard to break down defense. More of an on-going recruiting need in general than new storyline. Trevor Anderson should be factor in backcourt with Davison, Pritzl, Trice, King. Could use help on frontline with or w/o Happ"
