The Badgers got one of their early signature wins of the Barry Alvarez era when Darrell Bevell squared off against Kirk Herbstreit and the Ohio State Buckeyes at Camp Randall Stadium in 1992, leading Wisconsin to a 20-16 victory over the 12th-ranked Buckeyes.
Bevell threw for 214 yards in the victory, and Brent Moss added a pair of scores and 80 yards rushing to help the Badgers pull the upset.
Wisconsin's defense came to play, particularly in the second half, in the clutch, stopping Ohio State on a two-point conversion and then stopping Herbstreit on a scramble on fourth down as the Buckeyes' two-minute drill fizzled.
