Third-seeded Verona will start with a home match against fellow Big 8 member Madison West on Thursday night.
Coach Kelly Annen credits a tough conference schedule, as well as some out-of-conference tournaments, for preparing the Wildcats for what they'll see in the postseason. Annen says that playing in other invites and events gives the coaching staff plenty of tips from observation, information that can be immediately shared to the team. Also, having a premiere college volleyball program in town is a big advantage, says Annen, since the Wisconsin Badgers are a great set of role models for the players to follow.
