At a Monday afternoon news conference, Quintez Cephus made it clear he's working to rejoin the Badgers on the field, telling reporters that he stayed at Wisconsin because of his teammates and coaches sticking by him during his trial and eventual acquittal.
Wisconsin's athletics department then released a statement declaring that Cephus has been reinstated to the football program, but that they are making sure he's eligible to play in games, which you can read below.
Cephus said that coach Paul Chryst has welcomed him back to the program, confirming what Chryst told the media in the days after Cephus was acquitted.
